Revision of the genus Dilataria Vest, 1867 (Gastropoda: Stylommatophora: Clausiliidae)

Abstract

The species comprising the genus Dilataria are reviewed, and all taxa accepted as valid are illustrated. The taxonomic system presented here comprises 5 species with 10 subspecies. Shells of 80 samples were measured, and nearly all populations are briefly diagnosed. All names considered to represent a taxon affiliated to the genus are compiled and referenced. A map visualises the currently known distribution of all accepted species and subspecies.
